By: Tuesday October 16, 2012 10:05 am

Basically the only benefit President Obama got from being trounced in the first debate is that it has significantly lowered exceptions for the second debate this evening. From Pew Research:

Mitt Romney’s strong performance in the debate has allowed him to grab the lead nationally according to the latest Pew Research poll. Last month Obama lead by eight points among likely voters but now Romney is up by four.

Pew: Obama Up by Eight and Holds the Advantage on Almost Every Issue

By: Wednesday September 19, 2012 2:37 pm

Things are looking very dark for Team Romney. Voters aren’t going to replace a president with a challenger they like less, they trust less and they think is less capable of addressing most of the important issues facing the country.

By: Friday August 3, 2012 10:07 am

Pew Research is out with a new poll showing President Obama is leading by an impressive 10 point margin. According to the poll, it is 51 percent Obama compared to 41 percent Mitt Romney. Many Voters Don’t Know What Religion Romney or Obama Follow

By: Friday July 27, 2012 12:53 pm

What I find most interesting about this Pew research poll is not that 13 percent feel uncomfortable about Mitt Romney’s faith but the fact that 40 percent don’t even know he is a Mormon. From Pew: The poll also found that only 49 percent say Obama is a Christian. Another 17 percent think he is [...]

By: Thursday July 12, 2012 3:00 pm

Presidential elections tend to be a referendum of the incumbent and the job s/he may have done. By that metric, President Obama should be in trouble given the poor state of the economy. The real turning point in Mitt Romney’s effort to secure the Republican nomination appears to have been his victory in Michigan, according to analysis by Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism. After Romney’s tight victory in the Michigan primary on Feb. 28, news coverage about his candidacy became measurably more favorable and the [...]

The Remarkably Unlikable Mitt Romney

By: Wednesday April 11, 2012 1:45 pm

Another poll finds that Mitt Romney’s net favorability rating continues to tank at a remarkable rate. From Public Policy Polling’s new survey of North Carolina: The Republican nomination process has taken a huge toll on Romney’s image in North Carolina. In February of 2011 voters in the state were almost evenly divided on him with [...]

Romney’s Favorablity Continues to Erode

By: Wednesday March 14, 2012 11:29 am

The longer the Republican primary goes on the more the American public dislikes Mitt Romney as a person. Romney’s favorable rating has been falling steadily for months according to most polls. It has gotten so bad that a majority of the country now holds an unfavorable opinion of Romney. According to Pew Research 51% hold [...]
