If President Obama can hold on to Ohio, where he is currently favored to win, he only needs to capture one or two other swing states to get to 270 Electoral College votes. It appears one of the most likely combinations would be for Obama to win maybe Iowa and Wisconsin. A new set of NBC News/WSJ/Marist polls show Obama holds a solid lead in both states.
Iowa
Marist (10/15-17)
Barack Obama 51%
Mitt Romney 43%
Other 2%
Undecided 4%
Wisconsin
Marist (10/15-17)
Barack Obama 51%
Mitt Romney 45%
Other 1%
Undecided 3%
In both states Obama’s lead is basically the same since a month ago when Marist last polled the states. In late September Obama led by five in Wisconsin and by eight in Iowa. On the issue of who would handle the economy better, in both states the candidates are basically tied but when it comes to foreign policy Obama holds a big advantage.
If Obama only wins the three Midwest swing states, Iowa, Wisconsin and Ohio, that would give him 271 electoral votes. A narrow victory but a victory all the same.
The other good news for Democrats is that in the Wisconsin Senate race Tammy Baldwin is currently polling at 49 percent while Republican Tommy Thompson is at 45 percent.

Good news for Democrats = Bad news for the 99% er’s. This is pointless information.
The 99% is not unified nor active in any way that would bring meaningful change. What game you got? B/c, I am ready.
He may have a slight lead but momentum is in Romney’s favor. The first debate allowed Romney to look presidential and now people have to decide between the certainty of four more years of Obama compared to the possibilities of a President Romney. If you are long term unemployed, underwater on your house, about to get foreclosed on, or just graduating from college and cant get an interview, what do you got to lose by going with Romney? Sometimes anything is better than what you have currently and you take a chance on something new. Obama has made many mistakes but one that never gets mentioned by our media is that he has not given people anything to lose if he loses. If Obamacare was currently in effect an Obama loss might mean losing my healthcare so I got to go vote to make sure that does not happen. By passing a healthcare bill that does not go into effect until 2014 he didnt give the people who will benefit from it anything to lose. I cant miss something I never had. By not passing a jobs bill when he had a majority in congress he has put himself in position where the poor economy will come back to bite him. Had he invested in rebuilding infrastructure, high speed rail, expanding high speed internet, people wld be working and an Obama loss wld be a threat to their jobs.Instead he settled for a stimulus package loaded with tax cuts and not actual jobs. Consequently if he loses in November the only one who loses their job is him.
BS, lets look at what Willard has to offer women.
A woman’s choice re repro issues is rolled back completely.
A women’s job is not entitled to equal pay.
A woman’s vote is determined by her employer.
Willard gives women alot to look forward to. NOT.
I quess you’re all in on the two branches of the Money War Party. Both branches are corrupt dinosaurs and offer nothing to improve the economy or make for a more wealth equitable country. They are obsolete and irrelevant. I’ll reserve my vote for candidates that don’t lie to the American people and that fight for the interests of the vast majority of Americans.
