After his campaign team insisted Mitt would never say he had a special understanding of our relationship with Anglo-Saxons that the Kenyan Socialist could never get, Mitt Romney continued his foreign policy image building trip to England by first hinting that the Brits weren’t as good at pulling off an Olympics as he was. He then questioned whether the Brits had sufficient pride in their Olympics to show up.
That set off the British media, who are now letting Mitt know how much they appreciate being insulted by a rich American and making Mitt the joke of London. In addition to slap downs from the British Prime Minister, whose government has followed essentially the same economic austerity policies Mitt advocates for America, and with predictable catastrophic results, we get this reaction from a columnist at the Telegraph:
Mitt Romney is perhaps the only politician who could start a trip that was supposed to be a charm offensive by being utterly devoid of charm and mildly offensive.
At this rate, we’ll be lucky if the British have not sent Her Majesty’s Royal Navy to renew the War of 1812 before Mr. Romney escapes to Poland, where he will undoubtedly warn the Poles they should not bend to the will of the Soviet Union.
I find it somewhat reassuring that it took less than 24 hours for the British to realize Mr. Romney is not only an expensive but empty suit, but a cluelessly arrogant one to boot. Their media now know what our media should know but won’t print, that while President Obama has utterly failed to justify his own reelection, and would be turned out of office under any other situation, he may still be President next year if American voters decide that having a spoiled rich bully who made his money looting companies, avoiding taxes, and shipping off jobs will not likely help the country, even if Mr. Obama doesn’t have an adequate plan either.
Meanwhile, we are left wondering if the British will try to burn down Washington again if Mitt stays true to form. The question for the Brits is whether they want to invade the sweltering District swamps in the middle of summer — what sane people would?– just to get even with another clueless American twit.
For Americans, the question is different, having watched the performance of this feckless administration and the worst, most destructive Congress in our lifetimes. We have to decide whether, if the British start to burn down the Capitol, we just watch or help them. God save the Queen!

At the risk of ruining the mood, who give’s a rat’s ass about Romney? Our real problem is that whoever wins in November the same people are going to be running things. The election is a joke, a phony choice to entertain the rabble.

I think this could help bump Willard’s poll numbers up from the dead heat shown in the most recent Gallup Poll. What better way to show Amerikan exceptionalism that to spank those wimpy Limeys, i’m expecting some good Polack jokes on his next stop.

Apparently, the Brit media is not entirely a part of the political class, as unfortunately IS the case in the “Homeland” … our media mimics Sergeant Hans Schultz, “I know nothing, I see nothing, and I say NOTHING.”

The British have established a more intensive surveillance security state, so perhaps they’re confident that a little media freedom won’t make any difference or will result in the disclosure of contrarians.

How about this for Anglo-Saxon values? It turns out that Grandpa Obama served in the UK army during World War II (Kenyan colonial unit) and Grandpa Dunham served, as Obama has frequently reminded us, in the US army in World War II.
Neither Grandpa Romney (a real estate developer during World War I) nor Daddy Romney (served as general manager of the Automobile Manufacturers Association during World War II) served in the military.

The israel trip is a no brainer. You just go on and on about how israel is our greatest friend even though they have never done jack shit for us and we send billions to them for no reason. Then you just go on and on about arabs getting the bomb because israel is the only one in the region whose neighbors have to live in fear of being nuked. Then you say Palestine never existed and the place was an empty desert wasteland until the Poles moved in in the 40s. And assure them the next check is in the mail. We’ll cut first grade or food stamps before we eliminate Israels allownece.

Right on cue… Pentagon, Lockheed Martin Agree on Israeli F-35s
Pentagon, Lockheed Martin agree to enhance electronic warfare equipment on the F-35 jet and integrate Israeli-unique systems.
…According to the report, the deal, to be finalized in the coming weeks, marks a big step forward for Israel’s $2.75 billion agreement to buy 19 F-35 jets, which was signed in October 2010 and includes options for up to 75 of the radar-evading fighters.
The Pentagon said the Israeli foreign arms sale could be worth up to $15.2 billion if all options are exercised, when it first approved the sale in September 2008.
“This agreement kicks off the Israeli program,” one of the sources told Reuters. “Now all of the agreements are in place.”
The F-35 will allow for even greater collaboration in the coming years with Israel, a critical strategic ally for the United States at a time when much of the Middle East is in turmoil.
The deal comes as Defense Secretary Leon Panetta prepares to visit Israel next week where he will discuss heightened tensions with Iran.

The British will win the rerun of the war of 1812, by doing nothing. The British now know for certain (via Romney) that the US will do it to themselves.
