I’m thinking how pathetic it is for Reid to be behind someone so batshit crazy as Sharron Angle. Says more about him than her.
It’s like Notre Dame losing to Navy and Tulsa on back-to-back weekends.
Prop 19 will win
Dems keep Senate
Dems keep house total guess lose 7-12 seats
Youth, Minorities, Gays and women will vote in such numbers for a non Presidential year the GOP will scream Vote Fraud, No More Al Frankens GOP code ( for give us the seat we don’t need a recount), ACORN stole the election.
I predict that no attractive White Women stomped on by Republicans will get their faces shown on CNN. I predict GOP vote fraud stories will not get a MSM mention.
I predict sadly much more violence at the voting both.
Mark Kirk in Illinois will lose, Feingold will win, No GOPer who hates immigrants but has a Hispanic Nanny will win.
It says
getting along to go alongbending over to get along does not win you friends or influence people. How to Lose friends and Influence a revolutionary new book coming soon by Barack Obama with a foreword by President Bush, Karl Rove and Rahm Emanuel.
Available at Amazon soon!!!
A book written by Bush, Rover, and Emanuel shouldn’t have a foreword. A backword, yes, but not a foreword.
Or Baylor beating the Longhorns. Both being from Texas, but Baylor is in Waco, not far from the homestead of the Crawford Dauphin.
Don’t forget those second Amendment remedies.
Blue Texan’s regularly scheduled post is ready: Ross Douthat: The Bailouts Have Made Americans More Skeptical of Global Warming
Oklahoma has an interesting Governors race between “Mattress Mary” Fallin (R-OK5) and Jari Askins the current Lieutenant Governor, who is a Democrat. No matter what, we will have a woman Governor.
“So what’s going to happen tomorrow?”
Tons and tons of Republican gloating. I think I’ll tune out the news for a couple of days.
What’s going to happen is that too many Progressives are going to vote “tribal” and too many Dem. Incumbents, who bowed at EVERY opportunity to Corporate power will be reelected. Then, these very same “Progressives” will whine when these very same Electors ignore the will of the people. Shameful, just shameful.
Will the teabag crowd vote to bump the national credit card in a few months or just shut down the country?

When will Harold Ford come on and say the Democrats have to move to the right? 9:37 Eastern time.
One silver lining: I’ll be working the second shift tomorrow, so I won’t be tempted to get roaring drunk before the polls close in California.
LOL:)
“I’ve ended my hyper-partisan allegiance to the Democratic Party. In moving beyond the past decade’s partisan affair with Democrats, I am ready for a real revolution to happen in this country.
It has got to happen over the next two years, and its going to take progressives, libertarians, tea partiers, coffee partiers, conservatives… everyone that is not part of the problem (the financial/political/military elite). Get radical, first by moving beyond attachment to a single party or a political identity. Radicalize them both, go independent; whatever, and if that’s not you too, then get out of the way.”

I bet Jane will be the last one out.
Either the polls are credible (historic wipeout), or they are not (normal mid-term during a recession, party in power loses some seats but control does not change).
I’m going with not.

Hmmm, Jane. I will consult Hex on this … ;)
No matter the final result, always remember that life is very fluid; it isn’t an object. I wrote a newspaper column 2 days after the 2008 election that also applies here–though in the opposite direction. It said in part:
“We’ve been told this election resulted from a sea change. Maybe, but the sea is a cruel mistress, and the tides constantly change. No one would have predicted that when Jimmy Carter entered office with majorities even bigger than Barak Obama that just 4 years later Ronald Reagan would sweep him from office and the GOP take the Senate. The sea is rough.”
There will be a big change come Wednesday, but, for my friends here at FDL, don’t get too discouraged. Just as it did after 2008, the sea can change again back in your direction.
The Dems treated their majorities as a solid object which is always there and always the same. Those majorities have to be created every day.
Final predictions:
Senate 50 GOP 49 Democrat 1 abstain (Joe L.) GOP therefore runs the Senate. (not part of the contest, but Joe L. could also bargain REAL big with Schumer and the Dems for his vote to organize)
HOuse: 253 GOP, 182 Democratic
Prop 19, will not pass. 43.5%
Hmmm, projection time. I predict that the conservatives will oust the other conservatives and nobody will be able to tell the difference. Because it doesn’t matter, as all we’re allowed to choose between are conservatives. Which is why (aside from issues on the ballot) voting in America is a completely pointless waste of time.
Senate: 54 Democrats
House: 195 Democrats
Prop 19 will pass with 54.66% Yes
House – 230 Dems
Senate – 52 Dems
Prop 19 doesn’t pass with 46.44%
I’m a poll watcher tomorrow in an area of town with a high black population. I’ve been cramming on the rules as I haven’t done this before. It’s basically a job to make sure that the people who have a right to vote get to do so safely and comfortably.
Prop 19 will pass 51.4%
Dems will hold the Senate with 51
Dems will have 225 in the House
Yellowsnapdragon will be wrong. Very very wrong. She always is when it comes to predictions.
