how cool — thanks
Who paid this Uncle Tom with a lisp to read GOP talking points?
Hey Preacher just how many people have died from religious wars how many from pot or pot crime?
High pitched, whinny, talks fast the guy knows he’s talking shit.
His voice gets higher or he talks faster when he lies.
Our guy addresses what the preacher says the preacher from what I’ve seen ignores what the our guy says.
The GOPers assume on morality people can’t be personally responsible but they argue business free markets can regulate themselves. I trust people more than business.
The debate was cool. Not letting us comment on it real time was totally lame. Instead it was some kind of twit-feed most prominently featuring a chick (who lives off the 59) with a cold. How about just embedding it and opening the comments next time? [/rant]
That said, the twats did highlight this, which is pretty cool.
So, that preacher guy didn’t have his crap together at all. It’s like he prepped by watching a refer madness marathon. If I’d taken a shot every time he popped off with a long-debunked canard from the 50′s … wouldn’t be able to type right now.
And is it just me, or did he make you wish the cops would stop messing with people smoking pot entirely to focus on the crackheads driving school buses?
I’m not anywhere near where this is happening, but please for the love of God if one of you goes, please, please, please come armed with the following information:
- Drug Decriminalization in Portugal: Lessons for Creating Fair and Successful Drug Policies
- The amount of your local or state police budget that is comprised of federal War on Drugs Dollars.
With that combination of data you can shoot down any, and I mean any, argument that comes from law enforcement. You can dismantle their prohibition arguments with the Portugal study, and you can discredit them wholly by pointing out that their department funding is hugely dependent on maintaining prohibition, so they’re not an objective source for policy guidance.
